Looking for Some Basic Halloween Costume Ideas?

Home made Halloween costumes are often easier to make than you may think. If you’re wanting to save money they are well worth a look.

Why not learn how to make a basic robe?

This is an excellent idea because robes can be used as a basis for many character types including witches, monks and warlocks.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on this. You need some dark, heavy material.

Old curtains are perfect. If you don’t have any old ones lying around the house, try your local thrift shop.

You’ll need a tape measure to get your measurements and you will need a sewing machine of course. If you don’t have one yourself  maybe it’s time to call Grandma or your favourite Aunt and see if they would be willing to help you out.

If you’re using curtains remove the lining and hem so that you have as much fabric to work with as possible.

Now you’re ready to make the robe…

The video provides excellent instructions. For more Halloween costumes ideas check out our other videos.
